The mind body connection is always important to think about. Our minds have a significant influence on how we live our lives. The issue with carrying so much weight on your back is that you may start to feel or believe that no one gets you or that no one will understand what your dealing with. This is far from the truth. According to Staff (2022) your body responds to the way you think, feel, and act. This is one type of "mind/body connection." When you are stressed, anxious, or upset, your body reacts physically. For example, you might develop high blood pressure or a stomach ulcer after a particularly stressful event, such as the death of a loved one (Staff, 2022).
